MC Plan and Site services, an independent Approved Building Inspector consultancy, won the ‘fast rising property business’ category sponsored by Smith & Williamson. They were up against The Mortgage Hut and Mildren Homes as the other finalists in the category.
Mark Cook, Managing Director, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to win this prestigious award. The past few years have seen growth in the business by 600% and we’ve had to move offices twice to accommodate the staff to service all the work we are receiving. It’s been better than we could possibly have imagined.”
He added: “MC Plan and Site Services provide a personalised and professional building control service to all our clients regardless of size and value, incorporating all building control services under one roof.”
“With our efficient and flexible approach, we are able to provide our services at very competitive rates.”

Changes to Approved Document L in 2014
The 6th April 2014 sees the introduction of updated Approved Documents for Part L – Conservation of Fuel and Power – from the current 2010 documents.
With the introduction of the updated guidance there is a period of transition, meaning, that if the Building Regulations Application is made prior to the 6th April 2014 and commenced before April 2015 the project will be assessed under the 2010 documents.
Here at MC Plan & Site Services Ltd we will endeavour to process any applications prior to the 6th April 2014 in our usual efficient way in order to beat the deadline.
Please also note that we are always available for any pre-application advice free of charge and will be updating our technical library with the new documents shortly.
